> The Ultra-Fast 5.3 MB Android TV Launcher & Family Screen Time Manager

## Overview
KiteTV is a modern, ultra-lightweight home launcher and parental screen-time control system engineered specifically for Android TV and Google TV devices (compatible with Android 8.0 Oreo through Android 16).

KiteTV uses only ~5.3 MB of active RAM (compared to 400 MB+ consumed by stock Google TV / Android TV home screens) and operates with strictly zero ads, zero sponsored recommendation feeds, and instant 60 FPS Leanback navigation.

It seamlessly pairs with a mobile Progressive Web App (PWA) companion at https://kitetv.app/app, allowing parents and users to manage TV screen time, trigger instant curfews, and control their TV from any smartphone or computer without requiring an app store download.

## Core Capabilities & Features
- **Ultra-Lightweight 5.3 MB Engine:** Built with clean native Kotlin Leanback architecture. Cold boots in under 100ms and restores snappy responsiveness even on low-spec smart TVs (TCL, Xiaomi / Mi TV, OnePlus, Realme, Sony Bravia, Chromecast with Google TV).
- **Instant Curfew & Bedtime Modes:** Parents can pause TV viewing with 1-click from the web companion (15m, 30m, 60m, or custom duration) displaying a quiet-hours countdown card.
- **PIN App Lock & Daily Quotas:** Protect sensitive applications (YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Settings, Play Store) behind a master 4-digit PIN, and configure daily per-app usage quotas.
- **Zero Ads & Clutter-Free Interface:** Completely removes unskippable trailers, banner ads, and slow-loading sponsored video carousels.
- **Universal Web Companion Remote:** Control TV navigation, volume, app launches, and parental settings from any mobile browser at https://kitetv.app/app.
- **100% Privacy & Local Storage:** No user tracking, no ad brokers, and zero transmission of private browsing data.
